Synergies

This collaboration between En–Knap Productions and Artisti Associati on the production, created by Silvia Gribaudi and Andrea Rampazzo for En–Knap Group, is supported by the Small Project Fund / Interreg European Fund, as part of the official programme of GO! 2025 Nova Gorica Gorizia European Capital of Culture.

Gran Bolero by the Spanish choreographer Jesús Rubio Gamo brings together six dancers from En–Knap Group and six dancers from Zagreb Dance Company (parent organisation of Mediterranean Dance Center Svetvinčenat) revisiting Ravel's score. This grand co-production packed grand summer venues in the region as well as the grand stage of Cankarjev dom’s Gallus Hall in Ljubljana, the largest stage and hall in Slovenia.

This co-production is the thought and leitmotif of the second part of a polyptych by Rosana Hribar, which continues the thread of duality and the antagonisms of life, woven from the rawness of the real and the belief in ideals.

This is the "story" of the performance Admitting the Unbearable. I Love You. which was formed by Rosana Hribar through conversations and stories of women who have almost nothing in common apart from the place where they currently live.

This dance performance in virtual reality by Enya Belak questions the borders and absurdity of bureaucracy, which ties humans to the space in-between. It is a reflection of the current personal and political imbalance. A state of the unknown; unworthiness, fear, isolation, fragility, trust and power.

With this festival, Artisti Associati embark on a new stage – a new path towards a broader European sentiment, while strengthening their role in the region. The name "Visavì" seeks to highlight the particular cross-border location of the festival, and to communicate its push for openness.

This music and dance project by Iztok Kovač is the product of a collaboration between En–Knap Group, composer Cathy Milliken, two singers and two choirs focusing on three cities, Ljubljana, Rijeka and Berlin. The project scrutinizes the dominant conception of patriotism, in which collective identity is defined by division between US and THEM, with a particular focus on who WE are not.

This performance by Iztok Kovač is a collaboration with Zagreb Dance Company (parent organisation of Mediterranean Dance Center Svetvinčenat). It questions the concept of truth as a fundamental division between the way things really are and the way they seem to be to an individual's own perception.

Moving Balkans Contemporary Dance Platform is a new and dynamic collaboration of dance professionals from across the Balkans, established at the beginning of 2024, co-funded by the European Union, with the mission of enhancing the visibility and competitiveness of Balkan contemporary dance on a global stage. Through a regional partnership network, showcase festivals, initiatives promoting artist mobility, workshops, co-creations, and capacity-building activities, it aims to empower dance professionals and raise awareness of the vibrant and diverse dance scene flourishing in the Balkans. At the heart of the platform are 11 international partners, from 8 countries, each playing a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of contemporary dance in the region.

Hosted by Artisti Associati, the festival’s 13th edition will take place in both Gorizia and Nova Gorica as part of the European Capital of Culture 2025. The Spring Forward Festival provides a platform for some of Europe’s most vibrant and promising choreographers to show their work to performing arts professionals and local audiences. During 3 days, around 20 performances are presented to nearly 200 dance promoters, with some of the works open to a local audience.

Artisti Associati and En–Knap Productions are presenting their co-production Amateur Smugglers as the guest performance at the end of the festival.

One Dance European City (ODEC) is an international project that focuses on the unique cross-border exploration of the Nova Gorica and Gorizia conurbation through the language of dance and performing arts. Eleven short pieces by some of the key contemporary choreographers will form the stage route winding between both city centers and present a dynamic and fluid experience of the city for the residents and visitors alike.

A segment of the Pan-Adria Network is part of the Aerowaves Selection Board. The board meets annually to select the twenty most promising emerging choreographers in Europe, out of some 600 to 700 dance productions.

Following the Moving Balkans Showcase in May 2025, the network will grant two selected works in virtual reality technology (VR180 and VR360) filming and distribution in all 8 network partner countries.

This was an Aerowaves virtual reality project which gathered a group of spectators to watch performances followed by a Springback Q&A – a post-show artist talk conducted by a Springback writer. This virtual reality initiative was selected by Perform Europe, a project funded by the European Union, rethinking cross-border presentation of the performing arts in a more inclusive, sustainable and balanced way.

Tripofobia was shortlisted for the Pan-Adria 2024/2025 Season. The author was offered an artist residency at the Croatian Cultural Center in Sušak, where he will develop and rehearse the performance.
