Croatian Cultural Center Rijeka

Hrvatski kulturni dom na Sušaku
Rijeka, Croatia

A public institution for performing and visual arts, founded in 2018, this cultural center is a relatively new kid on the block, and literally rock, in Rijeka. Perched in the architecture of Josip Pičman, the center is tasked in fostering inclusivity and accessibility through artists of diverse aesthetic practices and for audiences with different physical abilities. Regional and international productions and co-productions, networking, exchange, and collaboration, including Pan-Adria, result in festivals and performances, workshops and conferences, contemporary dance on stage and in virtual reality, education in and promotion of contemporary dance for professional artists as well as active citizens across generations and communities through residencies in the house and volunteering on the field.
